Toyman and I were discussing this very thing Sunday afternoon but for LeMons. I think both of them would be a good fit.

Oh, and After seeing the punking chunkin episode, I think the $200X challenge/Lemons is right up their alley (unfortunately I think Lemons would make more entertaining TV for the average joe, wheras I would muuucch rather see GRMs affair get prime time TV action... too bad we cant all be car nerds and rust junkies)

I always thought that a Grassroots Challenge TV show could be done more in the format of "Drag Race High". Except without the mullets! Oh wait ... the Challenge has had its share of mullets!

Dave Mordal is a local guy; I haven't met him personally but he is a real gearhead. He lives on a farm out in the sticks, owns a fair assortment of cars, trucks, boats, and other motorized things and I understand he's kind of a cheapskate, so he'd fit right in. :)

I imagine a race version of "Wheeler Dealer" where the whole season can be spread out with a few builds can be spotlighted and finish with the compitition at the end of the season.

They could make a whole series called grassrootsmotorsports (TM) junkies. They could cover the challange, lemons at several locations, and the babe rally. That would probably be a whole season right there.

wreak is very fun to watch, you guys should contact them and invite them to film the 2009 event, or event lemons and the babe rally....
