I like it when the staff posts. It added a lot to the energy of the Challenges of old. It would add the the energy for 2015 and beyond. Keep it up.

we're up to like 15 pages now. staff posting is great, when it doesn't bury everything that isn't staff related.

Hi guys, Sorry for the post-flood. Part of the site update is making the articles and new car reviews more connected to the forums, so when someone comments on an article, it shows up as a forum post. When mixed in with the normal chatter, it works well. However, it's now creating a forum post for all those articles and reviews on the site. Why isn't it backdating them properly? I don't know. Calling the web developers now.

Thanks for the info Ed. Sounds like a cool feature once it gets sorted.

Unfortunately between that and the search function never really working in the first place, I can no longer locate a thread of mine to check on updates.

Oh the problems we have!

looking for a previous thread that you commented in, click your profile and view recent post. A one or 2 day headache for the article comments being brought into the forum is a worthwhile evil for the sweet new addition

On the number of staff posts, it's almost unbelievable that everyone's posting every minute. I don't want to think that it's what our beloved GRM staff does all day, constant posting to your own forums. Maybe it's a bug that's dredging up older posts and posting them rapid-fire as new ones - that seems more believable. Never mind me, just curious.

It's not quite a bug but not quite something that's happening intentionally. Basically we're in the process of updating the site to integrate articles and such into the forum to make discussions a bit easier, but part of that process has had the unintentional effect of every old article being posted to the forum at more or less the same time rather than being backdated.

I like it; not right now, since I never go anywhere but the forums so a lot Of content passes me by.

Ding ding ding! Yeah, bug. But once it's working correctly, should be cool to have our articles and comments posting to the forums. Right now I've got to get back to reading about what we were doing 5 years ago. It's like home movies!

I think most of us saw some wonkiness coming when you guys asked for some site update guinea pigs. It's a really nice idea and I'm glad it's coming to fruition, even if the "Project 914" updates are a tease.
