Thanks guys!
Though I wish my garage was the featured one in the "Shop Class" section!
Funny timing...I got the issue in the mail this weekend, right in the middle of adding a big new side shelf and doing some reconfiguring and painting the old brown kitchen cabinets (black of course)
Now, if only I could find a way to convince my wife to park her SUV outside, I could go to town on the other half of the garage!
Nice, haven't read it yet, but you do not waste any space do you?
Wow. I need a cleaning intervention.
Whadda you doing next weekend?

I don't have any space to waste....too little space, too much crap! Constantly looking for ways to find more space, store things more efficienctly, etc...Thank God that the GT6 is a little car. My Subaru would take up every inch of the remaining space in there!
And for me the real challenge is to do it while spending almost no money, since I don't have much to spare.....re-use old lumber, paint from various other house projects, old furniture, old cabinets, etc...
In reply to 914Driver:
I don't think Porsches are allowed to park in garages as dirty as mine
I have the room but still do the grassroots bit, I recently built two large sets of shelves out of old lumber I had access to, I only paid for the sheets used for the shelves.
I also build my own benches and racks for equipment whenever I can

As they note in the little article, my best find was a 200lb (or so) sound board table from a music studio. Alot of studios now are moving to smaller all-digital boards and computer mixing, so the massive old boards aren't used and I've seen more than one of the old heavy-duty tables/benches they used to hold them. Mine I could hit with a sledgehammer and it wouldn't make a dent i don't think! And it was free!
Your garage is far too neat. I volunteer to take over for a weekend and wreck it for you.

^^Lol! +1. Just leave it with me for an hour. I'll misplace all your tools, leave the floorjack out in the open so you trip over it in the dark, and spill oil everywhere.
Nice.
I too love how small the GT6 is when parked in the garage.
FIAT is a beast compared to the Triumph.
Snapped these tonight showing someone the lighting I did this year.

Amen to that! about 10 years ago I built an 18' x 45' pole barn in my back yard. I designed it to hold 3 cars. Over the years, my accumulation of crap has filled it up.
Forget about getting a car in there now. There may be enough room left for a bicycle....

I remember when my father had his Bs... my fiat used to dwarf them in width
added a bar-style workbench in the corner today....the last avaiable wall space I think...wanted something I could sit at a stool at over the winter while I renovate all the Smiths gauges and other dash pieces from the GT6. Will install a recessed light in the hutch too..
