If you don’t have the truck, can you really say your collection of Snap-on tools and equipment is truly complete?

At any rate, we came across a seller offering an all-too-familiar Snap-on truck for $15,500 in a Facebook group local to GRM headquarters.

Mileage is currently unknown, but you can see the offer for yourself here.

I don't think that I'd like people trying to flag me down all the time then calling corporate

No thanks. I don't need to be flagged down for broken E36 M3 or when are you stopping by bs...

Plus this is what 10k buys.

That's one, yes only one, 27gal tote. I have room to spare.

I'd be worried about people trying to break in all the time. I'd rather have a truck marked "hazardous human waste disposal" or something.

TunaDad was a dealer for Mac and Snap On, and he has stories. The truck was always parked in the driveway, and I benefited greatly.

Actually, these beefy trucks are probably a good basis for building a serious Food Truck.

I'd drive around to shops and collect weekly payments from people who assume they'll paying a new snap-on truck franchisee

(I wouldn't really, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone did)

Assuming everything works, it would be a good start for a camper conversion.  Generator; two A/C units; lots of room...  after a paint job.

One comment is 250K on the chassis and 80K on the engine/trans.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I'd be very interested in it to build a camper conversion, but not at that price point.

Buddy of mine has had one for several years. Still needs a brake line and king pin replaced.

Great idea, in theory, but buying tools for fixing such beasts isn't helpful to the wallet.

I suspect those are fairly hard miles too. Heavily loaded, a lifetime of stop and go

The price doesn't seem too out of line to me, but I haven't researched prices for similar trucks. If in good condition, the generator and A/C units definitely add a fair amount of value. Plus, one might be able to assume an owner/operator truck like this hasn't been as abused as a pure delivery/cargo box truck driven by hired drivers likely was. Possibly better maintained as well.

An academic discussion for me as a box truck like this is too big to fit on my property.

That's true.

I meant the price point was too high for me to consider a camper conversion.

I can buy a nice complete motor home ready to roll for under $10K. It would be hard for me to justify a project like this (although everyone on this site would applaud my build thread!)
