While examples of the Pontiac Solstice GXP can still be found relatively easily, how many do you see in like-new condition? This one, in particular, has just 250 miles on the clock. That's not like new, it practically is new.
That mileage averages to about 16 miles a year. Obviously, this car didn’t get driven much, and may need some …

Yes, it's a coupe, and a GXP, and exceptionally low mileage, and excellent condition. But the Sky/Solsice twins are just so wretched that you couldn't pay me to own one. Cramped, uncomfortable, cheap-filling, coarse little things.
I thought the Sky and Solstice were really cool. It's unfortunate that the coupe came out just in time to be taken away as both brands were scrapped. I always wondered if a Saturn analog was going to come our way if they didn't cancel them.
250 miles and they couldn't be arsed to vacuum the carpet?
No reserve auction... should be interesting to see what it sells for. I'm not surprised a few were bought and put away as potential investments... Original base MSRP: $30,375 - so it would need to sell for around $45K just to match inflation - not counting options and whatever "market adjustment" the dealer may have added (never mind insurance, storage and maintenance costs...). This car (and the other two) may have been kept by the dealer... hard to know since there doesn't seem to be a lot of background info on the Mecum page.
How many autoX can you do in 250 miles?
And we had one of these as a press car back in the day. Cool concept. Horrible over-the-shoulder visibility, though.
I see a lot of these - both the Pontiac and Saturn - available for relatively inexpensive prices ($10k or so). I'm curious what a pristine, ultra-low mileage one will go for.

Not a convertible. Maybe a targa.

They sold 842 GXP coupes in 2009, 557 auto and 292 manual trans cars. Of those, the GXP yellow cars numbered only 27, and only 9 were manual trans, so it is a rare car though one might like to see higher mileage (50-100 per year?) so minimize any issues from being idle.
I own a gray one and they are not cramped or uncomfortable and the finish is comparable with other modern cars - most cars have largely plastic interior bits today. Aside from that, they can be easily modified to give superb performance - my personal GXP has been modified by me to provide 375 bhp and it can crank out a 1/4 mile in the high 12 second range as well as out handling many other cars . The standard removable top was metal but there was a soft top offered as you couldn't carry the metal top panel on the car except in place. For an older parallel, think TR4 with a surrey top.
One nice thing about the coupe is that you get some very useful storage space unlike the convert with uses up much space in the trunk when the top is put down.

The Saturn analog to the Solstice GXP was called the Sky Redline. Neat looking car, I always preferred that one to the GXP.
