Love the car, and this build, but I am told that at 6 ft 4 I don't really fit in this car.
You may want to sit in one. There is a surprising amount of space in these. Now 6'4" is pretty tall.......so YMMV, but I'd check one out before ruling them out.
So it's only a 38 hour drive from Boise, Idaho to Daytona Beach...
77 scirocco was my 2nd car as a youth. I always loved the shape.

My college roommate was 6' 5" and drove a '79 Scirocco, he fit inside it pretty well. Of course, you didn't want to be the guy sitting in the back seat behind him as there was zero knee room in that spot. 
edited to add: I'm always annoyed by car ads where the owner threatens to junk the car out if it doesn't sell by a certain date...do people really do that to a good car, or are they just using some sort of weird scare tactic selling method?

When ever I see an add that says pay me x amount or I will crush the car I walk away.
Sounds like the kid in the sandbox that if you don’t let win threatens to take his toys and leave. I say go ahead and leave.
From the ad it sounds like they are parting it out in hopes of selling the items individually and crushing the shell if they can't get it sold - also sounds like a hard move date, those always suck.
