Do you dream of owning your own chopped-up, body-free Miata? This 1993 Mazda Miata has shed all needless metal and is advertised for $1200. The seller says it runs and drives fine. Forum member captdownshift had a solid suggestion: "Add Paco suspension and budget boost for some epic fun."

It's local enough to me that it showed up on the FB Marketplace last night for $1080!  Located in Inman, SC.

how flexy is a miata chassis without the doors? seems like it would be a good idea to throw some tube were the doors use to be. also a front tower strut bar seems like it wouldn't hurt

i dig it

I don't get the fascination...My only interest in that would be putting it out of it's misery and using it as a single-vehicle Locost donor.

Looks like it could use a healthy dose of POR15, but apart from that, I'm sure it'd be fun.

At a minimum, I would add some NASCAR style door bars, both for rigidity and you know, not being tossed out the side. =P

Looks like a $1500 Miata that someone sold $1800 worth of parts from and is now trying to unload what's left. ;-)

"street legal" could depend a lot on where you live.  Sure, it could be titled easily enough, but I am 99.9% certain no inspection shop in PA would put stickers on that.

The car in the ad looks fun, but it also looks really structurally handicapped. A few well-placed bits of tube would go a long way.
