Mine: (feel free to laugh)
MX3 GS V6.
Seriously.
That 1.8 litre V6 is one of the most fun motors i've EVER driven. I wouldn't have thought that you could have that much fun in a car that weighs slightly too much, and with only 130hp. But the motor, combined with a PERFECT transmission, with an extremely stiff chassis (FWD? Don't even care, it's awesome), and a brilliant interior, funky looks, etc etc etc.... I want one. BAD.
How about you guys?
I want to get a Pinto, drive it until the 2.3 dies, and swap in a Zetec.

I guess "CHEAP" is a relative term.
Festiva with Aspire brakes and suspension and Mazda B6 motor.

Under $10k for a clean example that runs well seems like I should be able to find one that isn't and doesn't for a lot closer to free. Am I mistaken?

Yes. BGTs are expensive even in rough shape. Closer to free is closer to impossible unless you want to do A LOT of work, and value your time at $0
Olds Achieva SCX W41...Yes Plz.

I kind of want a Fiero for some reason. I see early notchbacks going for 3-digit prices periodically even here in Europe but I'd hold out for a later "fastback" with the revised front end. And then I'd do a 3.8SC swap. Can't get much cheaper than the GM parts bin right?
TVR 2500M.
Tubular frame, fiberglass body, 1900 lbs, all independent suspension, 4 hweel disc brakes, rack and pinion steering....
I sold this 10k original mile example for $8000, and project cars can be found for next to nothing. And the frame is easily strong enough to handle a V-8. I'm puzzled why more people don't see the incredible value in these cars.
In reply to Maroon92:
I've got a W41 engine on the shelf, and you can probably find a free Achieva somewhere. Make your own!
Either a Miata or a clapped-out dori-dori S13 hatch.

I just sated my 900 Aero desire, with the cheapest one I could find . Gonna see how that pans out as a daily driver.
Next on the list is an FC RX7. The list varies all the time, though.
bravenrace, that TVR was a bargain!
I've always wanted to flog a Fiat X1/9. And a shifter kart.
Do I have to do this?
AMC Gremlin, TR7, Subaru Justy (AWD), Plymouth Cricket (it varies between these 4).
R5
V8 Pinto wagon
2.3 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe painted all NASCAR.

Actually no, that's pretty much what they go for, and that's my point. Believe me, if I could have gotten more for it, I would have!
I have another one for sale for about the same price if anyone is interested.
