Meet the Trackhoe, a 1996-ish Chevy Tahoe currently under construction for track and autocross use.

The shop doing the build is aiming for 8000 rpm and about 900 horsepower from its supercharged, 6.2-liter V8 paired with a BMW seven-speed DCT.

Tires are 335s controlled by a rocker arm setup.

Check out the build thread for yourself here.

I'm thinking that a lot of folks are going to read that headline as "World's Racist Tahoe"

At a local Good Guys hot rod show was a very used looking Chevy "farm truck", only he'd put the body onto a Corvette drive line and suspension. It was downright awesome, cleaning up at the Good Guy's slalom, as tiny as their course was. He said that he planned to take it to a track day event - it would be pretty humbling to be passed by an old farm truck, complete with shell and flipped-up rear window.

The downside of such projects is that it punts you into really high costs for fuel, brakes, and tires.
