Current:
-2012 Mazda 3 Hatch: So far, so good. Daily driver. Handles great!!!
-1997 Dodge Dakota: Weekend pickup. Best cheap beater I've owned in a long time and super easy to work on.
-1987 Shelby CSX: Rusty. Still haven't driven it. Hopefully it will be at this year's Challenge.
-1979 Pontiac Trans Am: Perpetually broken, but I've had it the longest. Needs a body/cosmetic resto at this point.
Past:
-1985 Honda Civic Hatch/Wagon: Never made it to the road. Technically my 1st car, but title issues made it unregisterable.
-1964 Buick Skylark 2 Door Hardtop: Slowest car ever with the 225 "Fireball" V6/2-speed Super Turbine 300 combo. Was my 1st car that actually worked. Rust issues eventually sidelined it. Wish I still had one.
-1987 Mercury Cougar XR7 (#1): Bought for $250 from wholesale lot of my sister's work (a Hyundai dealer). Drove for a few months until the AOD exploded. Used it as a parts car for...
-1987 Mercury Cougar XR7 (#2): Also bought for $250 from wholesale lot of my sister's work (a Hyundai dealer) a few months later. Hyundai owners apparently loved Fox Body cars. This one was my main High School ride. Fun car, but SLOW.
-1989 Nissan Maxima SE: My into to sporty Japanese cars. 199,000 miles on it when I bought it and ran/drove excellent. Only gripe is that it was an automatic. Got totalled on the way to school one day. Cheapest, most dependable, easiest car to work on that I've ever had. Great car.
-1983 Chevy Camaro Z28: Bought it dirt cheap. Optioned right for fun. 305/5-speed, no power options, no A/C, T-Tops, and the rare composite lightweight hood. Title issues made it impossible to register, so I sold it. Also, it had the most broken sounding engine I've ever heard. I cannot believe it actually ran. Sounded like it had multi-piece rods!
-1992 Ford F150 4x4 Flareside: My dad's truck, but I took care of it and daily drove it for a while. 302 auto, and it was fun. Had the "Nite" appearance package, which looked great. Gave it back to my dad after getting a new daily driver.
-2002 VW Jetta: It was a total turd. I could write a book on how bad that car was. I've posted about that POS before so I'll spare the details.
-1979 Pontiac Trans Am: 10th Anniversary model. Bought it with the intent of restoring it, but it was a total basket case. Sold it a couple years ago after realizing I couldn't give it the attention it needed.
-2002 Subaru WRX Wagon: 1st turbo car. It was fun, but it was finicky. Spent a lot of money and time on that car, but I was attached. Traded it in on...
-2009 Subaru WRX Hatchback: Again, I've posted about it before so I won't go too much into detail. Put it this way: I was happy to get rid of it. Fast, but not a good car overall.
Upcoming cars:
I have automotive ADD, but I've been good at not acting upon it (mostly). Here's a list of stuff that I want:
-Newer Dodge Challenger R/T, especially an orange one
-A Jeep of some sort that's not a Wrangler. I don't understand how I've never owned a Jeep. I'd really like a 2-door 70's Cherokee or a Gladiator.
-Another small turbocharged hot hatch. Something like a Mazdaspeed 3 or Focus ST might do the trick.
-A 2004 or 2005 World Rally Blue STI. I know too much about these not to end up with another Subaru. This time it will serve nice weather fun duty only.
-A classic Dodge or Chevy/GMC 2wd short box pickup. I want a muscle truck. I'd also consider a 1982-86 Ford too.
-Something diesel powered that gets obscene gas mileage. With a stick. Maybe a new Mazda 6?
-A classic BMW. Again, love these and am surprised I don't own one.
