DRZ400 Radiator Overflow Tank Placement

My DRZ400s didn't come with the radiator overflow tank installed, so the overflow just dumps on the ground. Seems like everyone in Thumper Talk just uses a turkey baster to replace it, but that seems a little hacky to me. So I spent the $25 on a overflow tank from Motion Pro. The question I'm facing now is "where do I put this stupid thing?" There's a spot next to the radiator, nestled up again the shroud that looks fine, but I'm worried about it being unprotected. Am I off base or is this a fine spot to put it?

Will it fit behind the radiator?  It looks exposed there, but if you aren't riding through heavy brush, probably isn't an issue.  If you drop the bike on that side, it would be toast.

It won't fit behind the rad. I ended up kinda sticking it on the front of the other radiator. I didn't think about what would happen when I drop it though...
