The best way I've found to be seen is to have your lights do something annoying. Also, jeans protect you just about as well as shorts do...
I've wrecked in good jeans and I beg to differ... I had no rash, but did need stitches in one knee from initial impact in one accident. The other accident I had no damage to my legs, hips, etc, but had damage to my hand that I'm not sure the best gloves would have avoided.
However, anything with some decent knee protection would have saved me some stitches for sure.
I wrecked an atv in shorts one time and man do I WISH I had jeans on.
Still I'm looking for some decent summer overpants or the draggin jeans liners. The tourmaster pants cover me in winter and cool weather.
Totally depends on the crash. If you slide, the jeans will wear in no time. you obviously didn't slide in your crash (at least on your jeans)
I crashed on the street wearing jeans and only got a quarter size mark on my knee but it was due to luck, not the jeans.

"Obviously"...what BS. The first wreck I did slide on my right side (yes jeans included)....rash on my wrist, arm, and shoulder to prove it, but my jeans held up. This wreck was in a t shirt and I've worn a jacket ever since....I was so happy when the mesh jackets came out because summers sucked much less.
The 2nd accident I hit a car that pulled out in front of me and went over, then rolled, so no sliding.
Just to be clear....I'm not saying jeans make great gear, but my initial response was to rotard's post saying they are no better that shorts. In my experience that is not the case...at all. I've been riding street since I was 14 (now 34) when you can get your MC endorsement in TN. Jeans have served me well in the accidents I've had on the street. Most of these accidents happened when I was younger and it seems the older I get the more gear I wear.....go figure.

Ok, they're obviously better than shorts, just like shorts are obviously better than letting your hootus hang out. Just like a helmet is better than sunglasses which are better than hair gel.
