Bought a 1982 CX500T in 1985. Changed the oil every 1,000 miles. Pulled the drain tube stopper and left it open. Installed a new battery at the start of the riding season. Put 31,000 plus miles on it over the next 6 years...I rode it every day to work a 110 mile trip, and never had any problems with it...ever. Now I am an old man on blood thinners and do not dare ride again....sad but true.

I've had two of these. Silly rare, fun bikes. If you're selling, good luck with the sale. These bikes are very neat.

I was on blood thinners for awhile. Didn't stop me from riding. Personal choice, of course, but after researching what thinner blood actually meant I decided it was a calculated risk vs an instant death sentence. I wore a medical alert bracelet. Lots of ways to die, thin blood or not.
