I have a serious weakness for cheap motorcycles. So now I own this:
It's a 2000 Aprilia Pegaso with an Arrow exhaust and a bunch of parts removed. It last ran a few years ago. It's originally from Alaska and has seen more states than most people will in their lifetimes. I'm pretty excited about it!
That's a cool 650! Tracking down parts will be fun, but it will be well worth it if you get it up and running. I've only seen one in captivity, but it was a beast.
I had forgotten that bike existed, it's pretty cool. For $400 you can't lose.

In theory all of the parts are in the boxes and bags that came with it, but we all know how that goes. 
Any idea what it needs to get running again?

At a minimum, the carbs need to be reinstalled, a filter solution or airbox needs to be figured out, and the tank needs to have the terrible smelling old gas drained out.

I cross my fingers for you that that minimum gets you riding...
Why was it torn down to begin with?
Carburetors gunked up from sitting so they were removed... and then it sat some more.
If at any point you want out of this project, finished or unfinished, let me know. It's just unusual enough while still being pretty practical.
