Cb650 sohc? they are great bikes.  What is the plan for it?

See if i can start it is first priority.  It has a salvage title so it will need some repairs for a rebuilt title to be issues.  Mostly fix all the lights probably.

it has a salvage title because he has a tow company and the police stopped the rider, drunk, going home with more beer, with no plates or insurance or motorcycle endorsement on his license, so needless to say he never bothered to pay the impound fee or storage fees and pick it up.  Generator isn’t generating from what i gather.

Pros:

i got it to crank

both batteries are good

sweet LED retrofit headight

awesome custom drag bars, so straight and seamless you can’t even tell they were welded

Cons: 

car battery strapped to rear fender for extended range with non functioning generator

bungeed seat pad

frame chopped off behind seat

wiring.....

throttle rotates around handlebars

sweet drag bar

led worklight headlight

Omg that headlight cracked me up. I thought it looked so bizarre and kind of cool then I zoomed in and saw “Utilitech.” Awesome. Drunk ingenuity huh. 

The ziptie battery terminal is my favourite part

Good engine, it will run forever but that bike is as close to worthless as it gets.

Literally LOL at the pics. I guess with enough beer and zip-ties, anything is possible [but not necessarily legal or smart].

I look forward to seeing this built into something far less terrible.

when he offered I immediately assumed 4 cylinder go kart.  It’s likely not worth the $50 to get the salvage inspection done to get a real title again.  I don’t know what i am going to do yet but i do have a locost chassis doing nothing.

Agree,  go cart is the right idea here.

That thing is so unbelievably hacked that it has actually come full-circle and I think it may just be close to awesome - as is. 

Fix the charging system (r/r, stator, whatever is wrong) but please leave that battery.  And the headlight. And the bungee.... oh man, it’s so bad. 

I suppose what everyone including myself has failed to ask did it at least come with the contraband beer? 

With friends like those who needs enemies.

That’s gonna be one expensive free motorcycle when it’s all done.
