I'm looking for some means of locating parts for my newly acquired RD400 that don't involve Ebay.  Suggestions?

Whats wrong with ebay? That's where the action is now. There are sellers who will tear down known running bikes to part them out and that way you stand a good chance of getting something fairly decent. Give me used Yamaha over new chinesium every time.

economycycle.com is good for new parts for the RDs. Really popular on the old USA2Strokers forum.

Try https://www.sportwheel.com in Minnesota.  They're supposed to be the largest motorcycle salvage yard in the country, and having been there many times I believe it.  Also, just do a search on 'NOS Yamaha parts' and a bunch of potential vendors turns up.

You'll need to log in to post.
