im looking at some late 70's and early 80's Kaw K seriers bikes, LTDs and some early 80's Suzukis.
How are parts for these?
Easy to find? Expensive?

I don't have any specific insight on those bikes, but parts for bikes from this era seem to generally be much less scarce than parts for cars. Plenty of good places to find stuff online. A couple to try:
oldbikebarn.com
bikebandit.com
Bike Bandit is a good site, if for nothing else so you can use the online parts fiche to see what's still available. It's always worth checking with your local dealer first on parts for these old bikes; sometimes they can surprise you with the parts they can still get. After that there's always eBay. A very good source for old Suzuki parts is Paul Miller in Connecticut. http://www.reproductiondecals.com/paulmiller.html or you can look at his eBay store at http://stores.shop.ebay.com/PAUL-MILLER-MOTORCYCLE__W0QQ_armrsZ1 If you need a part that's not listed in his eBay store call him, he has a warehouse full of stuff.
Don't know how far away you are but I have a 1980 440 parts bike in my garage for sale. I'm in the Birmingham, AL area. Shoot me a PM if you're interested and I'll send you more detail.

Paul Miller is a good friend, and is a two stroke Suzuki GURU.

I've never met Paul, but I've bought a bunch of stuff from him so we've talked on the phone - he seems like a pretty laid back and funny guy.
