I probably shouldn't have bought this but it was too cheap to pass up. No title, no key. Engine's probably locked. No shift lever so I can't get it out of gear. No clutch cable to engage the clutch. I've got a friend who races a TZ250 frame/RD400 engine--I was thinking he might need the engine for parts. Ultimately, I figured somebody would be willing to pay at least what I've got in it. Suggestions welcome. I had a RD400 in college with Toomey pipes. Loved it and screwed up when I sold it.
God, i miss my rd350 from college. Last bike i had, nasty accident. Haven't ridden since. And the wife asked me not to regardless.

I, too, came up on RDs, and have a lot of love for them.
I've got a roller RZ 350 with title that would pair really nicely with that... I could be interested if moving it along is the goal. Could also be persuaded to move the RZ along if that were a path forward.
So call me crazy, but I'm wondering how big a job putting two YZ250 cylinder assemblies on a RD 400 bottom end would be...
