FB marketplace impulse purchase..
The listing was very bare bones for a Honda CB160. Pretty rough looking, but appeared mostly complete sans title (seller had purchased from an auction a few years previous. Make an offer.
So.... a comically low price for anything with an engine these days and said I could pick it up in the afternoon.
Worst case? Part it out.
The lack of papers in Michigan makes the value quite low and the seller didn't have anything from the auction except a zip tagged on the description sheet from the auction house.
Oh well, I was at the guy's house and he was happy to help load it up into the bed of my truck and I went off to golf with some friends for a few hours.
On a positive note, it rolls around pretty easily on flat tires.
Fast forward to today and I've gotten the little bike into my garage and started poking around and seeing what I've purchased.
Seems about 90% complete with some homebrewed rebar footpegs. No guages or headlights.
Maybe see if I can get it running for use as a mini-flat dirt tracker? No idea.
But then I see this....
Well...that doesn't look factory.
Can't be....
yep...sure is...
A spare plug.
oh.. the paper..
yep. Michigan title and it's even signed off.
Can't believe the auction or the last buyer didn't see that
Thanks for reading another installment of GRTECHGUY's adventures of FB Marketplace.
Now, to make a decision on what to do with this.
That is awesome! The bike is great too.
dude, i can't believe you found the title *on the bike*. that is fantastic.
Wow! Awesome! What a find. If only all no-title purchases were so lucky and observant!
Following along for whatever you do with it.
Why are you writing here instead of buying lottery tickets???
That makes me believe in the whole FBMarketplace buying experience again.
Take a look under the seat and maybe you will find a small tool kit and a book from Honda that tells you how to do everything that you might need to do on that bike.
Old Hondas are awesome.

Not that lucky.
ISTR that CB160s are pretty popular vintage race bikes in case you need some inspiration...
