Well, I have been getting back into working on my RD. I got frustrated with the wiring about a year ago and kind of forgot about it. Well, this past week I have sat down and wired it up neatly and what I assume to be correct. I turn the key, and the gauge lights work. SOMETHING works! It took almost three years.

It was already neck deep in the grave; I am debating whether I overpaid at $100. For some reason, I really like the dorkiness of the luggage rack; I'm going to try to find some truck bed paint to coat it in. Does this come in spray can form?
I did get a few other decent parts out of it. The carbs, bottom end, air intake, headlamp, tail light, and the electricals seem to be in decent shape. Fortunately it came with a key that works with everything (fork lock, ignition, seat latch, and tank).
Unfortunately, the wheels, forks, and probably the frame are going into the dumpster. They're just too far gone.
What is it with small 2-strokes and luggage racks? I had 3 of them with the two GT250s I bought, looked just like that one.
As you can see, I treated myself Possibly to tetanus.

I think a suitcase of The Beast goes hand-in-hand with the hooliganism of the two-stroke. The luggage rack is the marriage of the two.
So, when are you going to ride over to our office? And a belated happy b-day.

Hello to all
Pedro's or White Lightning chain lube does a good job on a clean chain. Just shake the bottle well and drip the lube on each chain link while turning the pedals by hand. Use a piece of chalk to mark the starting point and don't worry about wiping the excess lube off.
Derailleur (front and back) and brake pivots. Use the Pedro's toothbrush first to remove the dust where the towel can't reach, then use the Finish Line Dry Lube on all the moving parts/pivots.
Pedals (Clip-on type) Use the Triflow Spray lubricant on the pedals so your shoe cleats will snap in and out smoothly.
Use the either the drip or spray lube on your brake and gear cables. Just spray or drip a tad of lube under the plastic cable protectors.
Check your bikes brochure for lubing the front and rear shocks.
Grease can be used to lube the seat post and also in the hubs and bottom brackets. Every year, lube the seat post by cleaning it off and applying a thin coat of grease.
