Fun fact: I was hanging with the guys from FOX that did the suspension design for the Raptor. The spring perches are on c-clips that snap into grooves. The FOX guys put an extra couple of grooves into the shock body so you can easily raise the ride height. Ford didn't catch on for two years, then made them take out the extras. They thought it was hilarious.
Perhaps this is well known Raptor lore, but I thought it was pretty good. It's the sort of thing I'd do.
