And to round out being a dick back, you didn't know about the FM site- ever heard of google? I understand it's a good resource, too.
He didn't know about FM? I guess he revealed that somewhere after the first half-line of text, which is where I gave up reading.

OP, this is not your typical car forum.
You'll find this to be an incredibly supportive and friendly group with knowledge on a surprisingly broad range of subjects, but we also expect a certain level of discourse and a slightly more formal and articulate tone. One of the main reasons there's a fairly wide demographic spread to the enthusiasts in this community is that very reason: everybody who speaks English can understand proper grammar, syntax and capitalization, and not many of us are all that interested in learning textspeak or trying to decipher it. Anyway, it scares off the geezers, and they're the ones who know the most. NO OFFENSE GEEZERS. (Sometimes you have to yell so they can understand, though.)
Hang out a bit (lurk moar) and get the feel of the place. Hopefully you wouldn't walk into a room and start talking with a mouth full of marbles, expecting everyone to stop what they're doing to try and understand you.
All that said, welcome to GRM.

That seems like it would have been hard to type.
Related to the OP - will I have any immobilizer issues if using a 2001+ VVT engine in a 1.6 with aftermarket engine mgmt - Megasquirt + this?
If you don't use the factory computer, you won't have any immobilizer issues.
I can't comment on how well the MS will work with VVT, but check your costs. A Hydra includes an integrated wideband and sensor, air temp sensor, multi-level knock control and can control the NB alternator and VVT - at the base price.

Could this please, please , please be the new "Tard" meme . . .?
I had a heckuva time getting my daughter on the capitalization/punctuation train until I showed her how much more intelligent it looks. Now when I get a text or email from her, it looks as though an intelligent young lady wrote it.
OP, now that we have thoroughly smacked you up side the head (figuratively speaking!) as you have probably seen Keith is THE MAN on MeOtter stuff. Order up that Flyin' Miata book.
I really needed a good laugh today, thanks to all involved.
