Those Avocet Tires are great. I have a pair on my Fuji Saratoga and love em. Shame they don't make them anymore

Yes, I like them. They were on just about every good hybrid back in the 90s. I'm keeping those.

So if I'm hearing you correctly, what you're saying is that you only need one more Trek road bike to have the perfect number of Trek road bikes in your garage?

In reply to Woody:

LOL well, that actually looks like it's for a taller rider, so it'll be a bit harder to unload, but it'll still go quickly.

My next roadie will either be custom steel or carbon, with thru-axle disc brakes. I'll wait til a thru-axle standard is established in the industry.

It's a 58cm frame, but actually rides a little smaller, if that makes any sense. I'm six feet tall. 56cm would have been the spec size for me, but I tried one and it wasn't comfortable, so I went with the 58cm with a shorter stem. Also, it looks a little funny in photos. The bars and brake levers make it look like a much bigger bike.

Update:

Not the original plan, but both bikes have moved on to new riders.

That's the good thing about plans around here. Everyone expects them to change some.
