Yep. TurboTax is the way to go. I used a preparer (my stepmom's dad) the first year I owned a home. Between paying state and his fees, it was basically a wash. The next year I did it with TurboTax and ended up with a 4 digit return. I haven't looked back in over ten years. Always a refund and never a red flag or audit. Was even pretty easy to use when I had a rental property too.

We got ours back on.....wait for it.....January 28th. Filed early as we had everything we needed, return was accepted and refund deposited with 4 days.
