My immune compromised lady is quarantined in a spare bedroom after contracting the 'Rona, likely from her boss at work. Who also tested positive over the weekend. I think at this point, literally everyone she works with has contracted it at some point the last 4 months. And it's really stupid because outside of the people who travel for schools, they can all work from home.
I was just tested today and I'm still negative for COVID. So she will be staying in the spare bedroom until next week. She no longer has a fever and isn't having trouble breathing, but has a harsh cough and generally feels like she has been run over by a truck.
My dad has been diagnosed with liver cancer. He's had cirrhosis for years, so his surgeon thinks he would have to remove so much of his liver he wouldn't be left with enough to live. So it seems they are going to try a liver ablation and get him on the transplant list.
Sorry to hear. Hope she gets better ans you stay negative
best wishes for your dad
Sorry things are hitting you hard. I’m sending good vibes your way.

Wow, that's all tough to face. Best of luck to your family.
Best of luck to you and yours. Slightly similar situation here, though we're lucky it does not seem to have spread beyond the person in the family who got it, and his only symptoms were loss of smell and taste.
one day at a time, friend... One thing, one tiny little step at a time. Stay healthy, get your wife healthy, then focus your energy on other things. It will get better, I promise you.
I hope all works out for you z31. Sounds like a really bad hand.
Stay healthy and keep your head up
Oof. I hope everything goes absolutely as well as possible, and everybody has a much-improved '21-onward.
2020 can suck a whole bag of Richards. I'm pulling for you guys, and if there's anything I can do I know you wont hesitate to ask.

Yeah, I feel your pain here. This year just wont let up.
Positive ju ju being sent to you and all yours
Make sure she stays hydrated, more than just water as well. Cheaty electrolyte concoctions help.
Sorry your year is going so bad, Z31.

Yeah, just picked up 6 bottles of pedialyte on the way home from getting my test this morning.
Thanks everyone. I know I'm not the only one having a rough year.
Hopefully the vaccines prove effective and safe once widespread use begins and we can try to get back to some type of normal.
Good vibes to you and yours. I hope things even out for you and everyone gets good outcomes.
Wishing you and your family positive news for a change.
Ive always been one to never talk about how much (insert year here) sucks, but man, 2020 just plain sucks even for my little slice of the world. No covid yet, but I was diagnosed with Melanoma this year and working from home and being quarantined has changed me and my mood/attitude. Lucky to still have a good job and be cancer free now, but this year just won't quit.
I didn't realize how much I hated 2020 until I received a 2021 calendar and almost burst into tears of happiness.

Glad you were able to beat it!
I feel you on working from home. I don't think it would be so bad if everything else was normal. I've become so used to it now, I'll probably try to go full remote, or at least flex (1-2 days in the office vs 3 days like before this all started) when the offices open back up.
From what I understand the US offices aren't going to open until there is a vaccine that most have taken.
Prayers for you , your sweetie and your father .....peace out
My exact feeling today. They can't figure out what's causing the pain and spasms in my arms and chest, and it seems my wife miscarried. Won't get 100% confirmation of that until a Friday appointment but today's been more E36 M3 on top of a E36 M3 year.
Spoke to my dad last night, as usual, he tends to not always give me the full story so I don't worry as much.
Apparently, even with eating more than he normally does, he's lost 16 pounds in the last 5 weeks. And he's never been a big guy, now down to 135 at 5'8". So he's already starting to waste away a bit, he's in real trouble.
Has a meeting with the radiology team tomorrow and another surgeon on Monday, hoping they will be able to get him in for the ablation next week.
