So, something I noticed ratherly quickly was how many people are using memes I know from 4chan. So I was just curious, are there any cross posters?

I just assumed that 4chan was the origin of all internet memes or that it at least helps them spread like a whore with STDs.
I use reddit fairly frequently. It seems to be the place where people repost all the 4chan memes without all the uh "other" stuff that pops up on 4chan...
Oh, I'll admit, I hit up 4chan from time to time. It's about 80% crap, 10% of the sickest, darkest, most depraved crap on the entirety of the internet, and 10% of the funniest crap you'll ever see. Altogether, it's still 100% crap, hahaha.
Yeah, 4chan is the, uh, bomb dog! And I like how meme actors never talk, they just like, move and stuff. I met 4chans little brother 3chan once and he wasn't nearly as, uh, bombish.

A meme is a repeated concept across the internet. A local-to-GRM meme is "the answer is always Miata".
Some wider-spread memes were Numa-Numa, Tron Guy, All Your Base, The Dramatic Chipmunk, The Hamster Dance. There's TONS of 'em out there.
I guess the best description of 4chan is that it's a forum for posting images. Wikipedia describes it better than I could: Wikipedia - 4chan

That's sort of an internet-specific description of the term meme, though it is relative to this discussion.
Think of a meme as a societal/cultural phenomenon (such as, on the larger scale, a system of beliefs or technology, down to minutiae like melodies, catch phrases, etc.) viewed through the lens of genetics. A meme's success or failure is a product of natural selection, just like a gene's. For better or worse, it's sort of a way of quantifying culture.
The term was introduced by Richard Dawkins in 1976 (?) in his book 'The Selfish Gene,' but the field of 'memetics' only recently came about.

Bingo. There was a point where it was the epicenter of some serious funny, but now it's mostly just reposts, trolls, and porn spam.
Chans are anonymous image boards. Within about 5 minutes of anything entertaining, sick, newsworthy, cool, etc... hitting the internet it is on the chans. Do not visit if their is anything at all that offends you.

If there is ANYTHING you find offensive, you'll see it on 4Chan. I'm pretty hard to offend, and I've seen stuff that still bugs me for even existing.

Yeah--I just like the funny by-products. I've heard enough stories of stuff like kiddie porn on there to stay way the hell away.
