This time last year I was leaving the hospital after a stay of 5 days, recovering from a burst appendix that tried to kill me. Tonight I’m sitting at a red light behind a few cars, a Solara is coming down the middle lane, a Rav4 pulls out from a business behind me and gets T-Boned by the Solara. This then launches the Rav4 into the back of my car. My car is then shot back in front of the Solara where I’m then hit again. Scared the bejesus out me, my 2 year old son was in in his car seat on that side. He’s ok, was pretty stoked to see the fire trucks and police cars. I’m sore, but otherwise ok. Next year, I’m staying home.
E36 M3 dude glad everyone is ok.
...will NOT buff out.
Stay safe. Here's to a good personal recovery!

Damn... glad to hear you're OK.
It's stories like this that make me like the idea of my primary DD being a somewhat "expendable" vehicle - easily replaced with little emotional attachment.

Good to know a versa can take a hit.
Make sure your insurance replaces the car seat. I know in Illinois they are legally bound to replace a car seat that was occupied during an accident. Some insurance companies try to ignore that.
Crumple zones FTW. Glad you're both OK.
Thanks everyone. The Versa took the hit like a champ, I’m surprised that I’m not in more pain than just general soreness. My son seems to be doing fine too.
appleseed- The fire department said they can perform a visual check and determine if its still good. But I think I will tell their insurance company that I want a replacement, as far as the law goes, I’ll have to check what Texas says.
Whoa, scary with the boy in the car, but upside for him is firetrucks. Glad you're both ok.
Car seats are 1 time use. Get a new one!
Glad you're OK!
Sucks but glad you and the kid are OK.
Even more glad that you aren’t one of the annual joiners to the “fewer fingers on the fourth” club. Came to this thread fearing that.

Definitely. There are times where I regret making a car payment, but driving something with good crash test ratings makes me feel a lot better about my chances of survival if I happen to have an incident with the gen pop out there.
Dang, glad you and the munchkin are okay. To echo other comments, that Versa absolutely took the hits like a champ. That car damn near deserves a Viking funeral, or at least a spritz of chrome paint before you send it to Valhalla.
Very glad everyone is OK,and yes for the umpteenth time, replace the car seat.
So you were stopped at a light but this Solara was going fast enough to cause all this damage? Sounds like more than one party at fault!!
I'm glad everyone's okay; getting in an accident with the kids in the car is a nightmare scenario for me.

Yea, maybe. BUT, throw some paint-less dent correction at it and it will look mint in no time.
So glad you are both ok!!
I had to do a fair bit of driving yesterday and was amazed at how the normal amount of road idiocy had seemed to elevate exponentially.

There are easier ways to get to see firetrucks. Just sayin'.
Glad to hear everyone's okay.
Wow. Glad everyone is okay. Get yourself checked to be sure though, whiplash and other issues are harder to get taken care of without medical evidence.
Makes me glad I put the 2-year old's seat in the middle of our cars.
the rule of thumb with the car seat is that if the airbags popped, the car seat is finished.
Also glad to hear everyone's ok. I don't imagine they'll fight uou on it, but if they do, tell the insurance co. you want to be made whole. That means a new car seat that has not been potentially compromised in an accident.
