I'm a Christmas junkie, so I love it.
I will say that I took our kids to see the new Peanuts movie. Awful. Dreadful. It was like watching a Sunday paper comic strip that just went on waaaaaaay too long.

Huh. I thought it was ok. Maybe that was because I went in there with extremely low expectations. The thing that really bothered me was that they didn't have the machine gun sounds with Snoopy and the Red Baron.
Count me among the Peanuts fans. Grew up with the Christmas special and looked forward to it every year. Still can't watch Linus' bit about the true meaning of Christmas without being moved.

Yeah, put me in this bucket, too.
I like the Peanut's Christmas Album (only Christmas Album I own btw) but I can take or leave the tv special. OTOH, I will sit down and watch Rudolph.
So, what cars do the characters likely drive now that they’re all grown up?
I’ll start…
Peppermint Patty = Subaru Forester (Hehehe)

My cousin bought his wife a Forester. Or she bought it/they bought it, as they were/are about equally successful (very).
About 4 months later she came out of the closet.
Charlie Brown: Clapped out Plymouth Voyager with a slipping auto Trans and a permanent oil drip.
BTW, Subaru Forrester was the first thing I thought peppermint Patty drove as well.

Oh come on, on a forum where just about every other member owns a Miata you would think we could have a sense of humor about these things
the music in indisputable. Guaraldi created a new Christmas carol that entered american consciousness with Christmas Time is Here. Most people i've checked don't know that isn't a legacy carol but a modern music composition.
the whole album is on the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry list of "culturally, historically, or aesthetically important" American sound recordings.

Or would it be more along the lines of a rustbucket Cavalier with a strap holding the trunklid shut?

Me too. Tidings of great joy, indeed.
I see Linus in a Prius (a nice, clean one without bumper stickers), Sally in a convertible New Beetle, and Lucy in a leased Range Rover, three feet off your rear bumper when you're already doing 45 in a 35 zone.
Not sure what Charlie Brown would drive, but it would be stuck in the shop with parts on backorder. "Rats."

We’re really close…
I think Linus was a Saab 9-3 loyalist but switched to a Volvo S60 once they were no longer available.
It’s true that Lucy currently drives a Range Rover but prior to her big divorce settlement, she was driving a black Escalade she picked up from CarMax.
Your Sally call is spot on…convertible New Beetle all the way complete with a flower vase holding a pretty flower that perfectly complements her outfit.
Charlie Brown drives an Odyssey that’s ready for its third transmission. The first replacement was under warrantee but this one is going to be out of pocket…good grief.
Whatever CB is in, it's something that had high marks from consumer reports. And his is the biggest lemon ever.
Pigpen is in a Mercedes diesel.

I could see Linus in any of the above and think Lucy is spot on as well in either the Escalade or Range Rover. Is Sally's Beatle a TDI?
For some reason, the first thing that came to mind for Charlie Brown is mid-90s Chrysler product, like maybe a Stratus or Intrepid or something. The aforementioned slipping trans, oil pissing Voyager certainly fits the bill as well. He just needs something crappy to the core, and I'm not sure an Odyssey fits the bill even if it is on its third tranny - it probably functions too well otherwise.
And Snoopy totally drives a Miata, a red NA to be exact

You guys are killing me
Snoopy drives an NA, but in his mind it's a Veyron.

I was thinking 7 series as I scrolled to this point. 5 series might be a bit sporty but his car will be NICE. Possibly S class Merc.
