No possums locally but lots of black bear, dear, moose and other wildlife. I, not a hunter but it's nice to see animals around. Although between the bears and raccoons we'll need to be careful about our trash.
Hoping it all gets finalized tomorrow...fingers crossed.

For a minute there the dream was real.
Timing wasn't ideal as the lot deal closed and I went into eye surgery a few days later meaning I couldn't to start cleaning the lot, as it turns out it didn't matter.
While I was recovering from eye surgery my wife of almost 13 years decided to leave me.
So in the span of a month I've gone from excitedly planning to build a cabin with my wife to soon to be divorced father who's going to do well to keep the house we have lived in for the last 7 years.
I'm a mess, and despite the fact I have great support around me I feel like I can do no right.

Dang man that's bad news. Very sorry to read this update - mainly for a fellow GRM'r but also selfishly because I wanted to follow along on the build.
Were you able to withdraw from the land purchase agreement?
Ultimately, you're gonna get through this. It'll likely suck for a while but you made it this far, you can keep going despite big obstacles.

Please know we're all pulling for you and we'll be happy to listen to anything you need to say. You've got a lot to process and having folks to bounce it off of can help. You'll get through it but understand that you don't always have to stay strong.

No she waited, I asked her before we signed papers with the lawyers if there was any reason not to do this and she said no.
I already have the lot listed with a friend whose a real estate agent.
I know I will make it through this, but it's definitely the hardest thing I've ever faced.

Thanks for the support and offers of support . Truth be told I have a great network of friends near by.
It just doesn't cover the hurt if having been left by your best friend and partner if 15 years. She's already moved in with another man and it is absolutely brutal. I have the kids for the next few days and that's all I am going to focus on, in addition to trying to eat.
I will survive but right now I feel gutted.
