I always wanted to get my Iron Butt patch when I still had a motorcycle.

A little over 1000, Cherokee, NC to Plymouth, MA on a bike in about 22 hrs. Should have sent in my iron butt paperwork but never did. It was a LOOONG day, don't think I'll ever try it again.

Just remembered I've done the 600 mile Glasgow-Memphis round trip twice. Once in a Uhaul E350 and once in a 2013 Chevy pulling a tiny Uhaul trailer.

720 miles which isn't much except for the way it was done:  Frederick,MD > Irwin,PA > Frederick, MD > Irwin,PA > Frederick,MD.  Each leg was 180 miles.

I had to get some furniture I had inherited from a Aunt from my brother's house in Irwin to my house in Frederick.  All I had was a '71 short wheelbase Econoline with the 6 cyl engine and it would not hold all the stuff in one load.

So I left Frederick at 4pm on a Friday after work, made two round trips to Irwin and back.  With the time added to load and unload the truck, I was back home and headed to bed at 7am Saturday morning.

Not sure but; Chicago to Atlantic City, load two E28 and head about half way back before hitting a rest area for two hours of sleep. Guy chasing me for who knows how long bought the M5 off the trailer before I actually got any sleep.

edit: forgot about a time I worked all day then Beaverdam, OH to Harrisburg, PA. Picked up my brother drove to Knoxville to buy a car. Turned around went twenty miles and the engine blew up. Saturday afternoon so couldn’t find a rental and trailer so drive back to Harrisburg to get my towbar, back to Knoxville. Back to Harrisburg flat towing the car(all four old tires popped on the way luckily finding a Wally World along the way that re-opened to replace the tires once we ran out of spares)  then back to findlay, oh. That was the tough couple days that I found Lady Gaga can keep you awake no matter what....

1200 miles from Fort Worth, TX to Flint, MI this past May in 17 hrs 45 mins. My annual run to retrieve my daughter from college. First digit of my age is 5. Maybe the only digit.

Right at 1500 miles Durango Co to Murfreesboro TN last march. Straight through on 24ish hours. i was a bit loopy by the end, and not as easy as that stuff was in my 20's

1200-ish.  Cleveland to Decatur, AL and back in one... well it was a little over 24 hours, but it was one contiguous waking moment.  At least, I think I didn't stop anywhere along the way.  Then I had to unload the car/trailer before I could wobble home and pass out.

This was last fall.  Cue "I ain't as good as I once was".  Heck, I just did a Cleveland-Lodi-Cleveland-Ann Arbor(ish)-Columbus-Cleveland loop spanning two days, and I even got some sleep here and there, and I feel exhausted.

I think I'd prefer to die in a fiery crash then listen to Poker Face.

You know, you don't really come to terms with how long and repetitive that song is until you've sat through a karaoke of it

Tell me you got a iron butt patch for that. That is nuts.

I did 780 miles form San Diego to Las Vegas and back and almost lost my mind.

This thread is making me tired and my ass sore just thinking about it. Back in the days of my divorce trying to see my son still before court order was in place i would drive from Nashville to San Antonio for a turn and burn. 1876 miles in 24 hours. I most definitely should not have been doing it and there was a huge section between Little Rock and just outside Memphis that I have no clue what transpired.

This was all in my SAAB 9000 with a broken speedo gear in the transmission. I got 3 tickets in 3 states on one of those runs which sucked ass. On one of the trips outside of Little Rock on the way back at 2AM the waterpump started leaking out the weephole. Had to stop and fill the radiator every 30 minutes. Finally I said screw it and that I would never get home at this pace. Filled it one last time halway to Memphis. Started up and never stopped till I got home. Pretty sure the gauge only read cold and the heat stopped working because I was so low on coolant. I'm amazed I didn't do lasting damage that night. I guess the cold night air and little bit of water that was still left circulating saved me.
