i had a great week end, thought i would share. i was at a local park the edmonton river valley for a concert, it is a big park with a road that loops around the out side edge. i was sitting listening to the music when i see through the tree a bright orange Lamborghini gallardo, so i turn to my wife and say that i will be back, i had my nikon with me and thought that i might be able to take a picture of the car in the park, i ran off and crested a small hill and to my surprise there was not just the lambo but around 30 other supercars. it was amazing. they were out for a cruise that night and stopped by the park. pictures.

so then i was all jazzed and feeling great from seeing all the cars, i go back and after the concert i get a phone call from my friend who lives up in Cold Lake, which has a Canadian Air Force base right next to it. He tells me that if i can be at his place by 9am we can get into the F-18 flight simulator. So i look at my wife and said do you want to go? She said i can see that you do so lets go.
that is an acutal cockpit from an F18, all the gauges work and the stick has feed back to feel the same forces as in flight.
me belting in, got to wear the lower part of the g suit, it was able to inflate as you turned.
all suited up and ready to fly. it was a very cool time. i was able to fly around for about 45 mins and then land. i shot down a tanker and shot at a battle ship. got to experience a spin and loss of flight controls. in all it was a cool week end.
