Was he even following a course, or just randomly driving around the lot, occasionally circling a cone?
I really don't think he was on course at all.
He should have just grabbed the first spot he saw instead of trying to park closer to the entrance.
Looks more like a Gymkhana than an auto-x. The 'funkhana' that's held at Watkins Glen during the Vintage Festival is sometimes set-up on an even smaller lot, although with more interesting design. Last year, the lot was insanely small... so they had drivers run it in reverse.
