It's not hard to find if you go to jalopnik. Of course, that does mean you have to go to jalopnik, and may have to find time to shower afterward...

I have no idea why pillar gauges makes someone an a-hole. It in no way effects other people.
I would replace that one with something like truck nuts, no fat chicks stickers or those Calvin peeing stickers.
Big +1 on A-pillar gauges. They have an uncanny power to make otherwise good builds look like horrible ricer projects.
I never went for pillar gauges or big tachometers mounted on top of the dash, because I figure it's just one more reason for some shiny happy person to smash the window and rip them out for $20 in crack money

I have an A-pillar gauge pod on my MSM. It makes me rage. Can't wait to get rid of it. Rattle-y thing that won't stay in the berkeleying a-pillar plastic, and blocks entirely too much field of view.

I have a vacuum-boost gauge and a water temp gauge in the pod. The water temp on the dash now tells me oil temperature.

I've got boost and an empty hole in mine. I was going to put a real oil pressure gauge in, but now i just want to get rid of the pod and get one of those din panels for the gauges.

Cheap and E36 M3ty: http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Universal-Triple-Gauge-Single-Din-Gauge-Pod.aspx
Various Miata vendors have one that's the same design but probably higher quality.
Or the same exact thing, but with added markup? Who knows.
I swear someone made a metal one, though. Maybe it was NJoy?
Here's some from Goodwin.

Yeah, looking down at a DIN panel would be like looking into another room. I'd never see them under most circumstances that I really needed to.

I have one that's supposedly for an NB Miata that is (again supposedly) single DIN in size. PM me if interested.
