Silly question I know but does anybody have a supplier for BMX bikes on alibaba that is decent and they would like to share that I can get around say 50-60$ a bike. Every year I do a big toys for tots events with the exotic guys locally and every year I buy ~500$ or so worth of toys from a fried and Mattel where I get a discount. Well last year one of the viper guys brought like 4 BMX bikes and we heard through the grape vine that it was a issue as that is what everybody wanted so this year we are all getting bikes for the kids.
If I could get them for like 50$ and they would last say 5-6 years with kids just using them as bikes It would be amazing. I like the BMX as there are single speed and have less to go wrong and should be easier for me to build say 10 or so.
Other option is to dig through Craigslist and build say 5 really good ones from used ones.

It's a shame you're on the west coast, I have a truckload of bikes & parts in IL for dirt cheap.
Walmart carries huffy 20 inch BMW bikes for $50. I donate 10-15 every year. Best deal going.

Interesting. Do you go over them and tighten everything down and check chain and that sort of thing or are they pretty good out of the box. I can get like 10 of those for what we normally spend with Mattel.

Target assembly is slightly better than walmart. Walmart, you're gonna want to once over and grease everything. I've seen some baaaaad stuff come from wally world.

I have most of a sweet Powerlite, early 90's Dyno BMX, and a GT Bump. There's a Diamond Back Strikezone frame, a set of 3-piece Haro(I think) cranks, a dozen random pegs, not sure what else "quality" stuff I have. I also have about 20-30 random wheels of various sizes, some vintage parts/pieces/frames, and a low-rider I built years ago.
Oh and I still have some autographed freestyle tour posters from the 80's that are in great condition - there a Haro or 2, CW, and I think a GT and/or Dyno.

I check them over, but never had an issue. From what I've seen assembly isn't like it used to be, it's pretty much install the seat, pedals, and handlebars. The rest is already done at the factory.
