Eleanor could hardly be thought of as an also-ran. I think the Montego doesn't get enough credit; the legend is it had tons more power than Eleanor.

Oh, and speaking of vintage car abuse there's the 1959 Edsel used in Blacktop (you can find it on YouTube).

Unfortunately the whole 60 seconds original movie is an also ran. I was comparing the mach 1 to the 2nd gen bescooped thing in the remake. Guaranteed the majority of car people under 40 dont know that movie is an expensive remake.
