Please take ths all as constructive criticism, since you asked. This is just how I see it. I wanted to get worked up about the Fox several times, but there weren't any photos nor a real description at the time since the CL link expired, and I soon found something shiny (or covered in moss) that grabbed my attention.

It's largely due to location. Canton, IL is not what I'd call an area of hotbed car culture.
Here in Flagstaff, economy cars are a slow sell, anything 4x4 sells fast, anything Subaru sells for too much money. Nearly everything is rust free, but beat to hell. Garages are expensive and very few people have them, so cars get weathered quickly. We have no motorsport presence, but desert racing and rock crawling seems to be the big interest.
I think it's just a matter of attracting someone willing to travel from St Louis or Chicago.
