Darn I missed out on the 34 inch 4k monitors for 300$. I need a few of those for projects at the office.

We've had a Roomba 650 for maybe 3 years. With cats, it's been an awesome thing. It doesn't completely get all the hair, but it gets 90% of it and means we rarely have to break out the upright. It just does what it does every couple of days, then parks. I clean it out every 2-4 days. I've had to replace a few worn parts, but it's designed to be serviced and even has color coded parts.

Love it. It's a true labor saving device.

I would love a Roomba if my damn dog wouldn't eat it.....

Yup, that's the usual response. A drama-filled daddy blogger over-dramatizing an incident that may or may not have happened in order to get clicks.

And after living with one for a few years, the answer is still yes. We've had no poop incidents. Even if we did, it would be less effort overall.

The real question is "are you sure you want a dog that E36 M3s on the floor"?

We've had 2 separate dog poo incidents, the first considerably worse than the second. These stories are real folks.

Also, I'm pretty sure they're programmed to try to purposefully get themselves stuck by just trying harder if they encounter an object that they can almost clear...Rather than, you know, just moving on to clean somewhere else.

Oddly enough, I can't remember the last time we used our Roomba.

I picked up 3 Kindle Fires for the grand kids for $30 each.

A shower head for the master bath. $19

A Makita 10" dual compound, slide, miter saw for $280.

And a cheap multi meter to put in my portable tool box. $10.

More than I should have. Less than I wanted to.

Sorry for pointing out that Roomba has very real limitations (no 'fault', just fact) which might make it far from perfect for every household...Like those who rescued an abused dog that also developed liver disease, and/or who have one or more young children.

I don't have a roomba or a dog. I'd probably get the roomba before said dog. I just like the story.

Probably a good thing I didn't see that! I'm still waiting for the Saturn V kit to get back into stock at normal prices...
I was in Minneapolis a few weeks ago for work and we had some time to kill before our flight back, so wandered over to Mall of America. The Lego Store was the only one we actually walked into and it took every ounce of will power I had not to walk out significantly poorer.

There's one in disney springs. It is overrun with tourists, but swmbo gets a discount.

The last DCS (DeLorean Car Show, more of a convention than a car show...) I went to was in Orlando at one of the Disney hotels, and a short walk to Downtown Disney/all the shops around there including a good-sized Lego Store. I had, unsurprisingly, driven the DMC down to Florida for the event and thus was rather severely limited on space- especially since I had gone down early to spend a few days at the beach on the Space Coast and then had to stop in Alabama on the way back for a few days for work. Despite the issue of having next-to-no spare cargo space in the car I still walked out of the store with one of the biggest sets of the time- the large, detailed STS (Space Shuttle) set- and have never regretted it.

I shopped, put some stuff in my Amazon cart and ended up buying....nothing. Last year I snagged a tablet for $40, but that tablet is still going strong so we don't need another one. I just didn't find anything we needed that badly, or that was such a good deal that we needed to buy it now.

There's a joke about how men will pay $20 for a $10 item they need, and women will pay $10 for a $20 item they don't need Not sure if it's really split down gender lines, but apparently men vs women is funnier. And I have to admit it's true for my household.

I'm gonna spend my $25 gift card (purchased for $20 on Amazon's I Wish It Was Black Friday Week Already So Let's Try To Force It Sale) on a battery cutoff switch, because I need a battery cutoff switch.

Cree LED Headlights + Canbus for the DD, $22. Reviews are about 75/25 split pro vs con, and I am a firm believer that any DIY & automotive product for sale on the web will get at least 10% negative reviews because people suck and are idiots who blame others for their idiocy. I felt like those were pretty good odds.

We had a couple things in our cart that we were waiting to order on Prime Day using DD#1's Prime account. At least 1 of the items was actually more expensive as a Prime deal than it was normally, and none were cheaper, so we didn't bother.
