But about the compression thing, what exactly is getting checked???And how is the compresion made without the combustion of the mixture of fuel and air???I'm confused.....LOL

Compression: Piston moves up. compressing the space between piston and cylinder head. ie compressed air. try it. go home pulling spark plug from your lawn mower. turn the crank by hand.
with the plug out, zero compression. then cover the spark plug hole with a finger. turn the crank. you will feel it.

Sounds like the kind of guy who'd try to look at the engine through the ignition key hole.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he may be a novice home mechanic, still learning the basics.
Although, his continued use of 'LOL', like that in capitals, suggests he is indeed an idiot.
Combustion and Compression are similar enough. On a foggy brain day, I'd be guilty of the same thing.
