I have freshly sanded Pacesetter headers, ready for paint. Gonna start tearing stuff off the truck tomorrow in preparation for installation and a new 32/36 weber carb.
What are you working on? I've got fingers crossed that the answer is "Capri".
Wonder if in 10 months from now there will be a whole new crop of little GRM'rs showing up?
woohoo! My tech support is back!
I thought it was my technical crap. This outage is up to 600 bucks for a laptop and phone.
Granted, I needed both, I just took the time to get them now. But I still blame the outage.

nope ... according to Margie and others on other sites it's something called DDoS attacks ... millions and millions of hacked computers are doing stuff that cause certain types of web sites to be locked up ... others don't seem to be affected

Sorry, no Capri. It's a '93 Mazda B2200 .

I'll be thinking about you. Please check in when you are able and let us know how you're doing.
assuming everything goes typically, I should be home sometime by the end of the week ... though my best friend ... my "dutch uncle" so to speak, wants me to "con" them into keeping me an extra day or two ... since I'll be trying to take care of Mom as soon as I get home ... he wants them to understand that that type of stress could cause me complications after I'm on home recovery ...
we'll see ... like I've posted, no wifi, and a dumb phone ... so whatever TV they have, and lots of reading (which I do anyway)
thanks for all the well wishes from everyone

Those are also cool. Not as cool but kind of close.
Yay, we're back. Yeah, according to the status updates, we got caught up in a fairly big outage. Again, sorry that this has forced everyone to interact with their loved ones, go outside, work on cars, etc.

B series trucks are awesome.
I had a feeling you were working on a b when you said you were doing pacesetters and a 32/36 on a truck.
I daily drive a 1985 Ford courier wich is really just a b2000 in disguise.... A really flimsy disguise.
I pulled the axles and center on my spare diff today, need to get it sorted before the current diffs whine becomes a scream.

Consisting mostly of unpatched Windows systems :/
You guys really need to stop doing this. Ended up working on another car and this time, in my wife's van. Figured out the problem with the no start. Starter went bad. My 5 year old son was a trooper wrenching with me for the first time on a car. He was in awe when we were at the auto store testing out the starter where we heard a small whine from it and then a steady stream of smoke coming from it. He was also hilarious trying to jack up the van with all his might. My wife was furious at how dirty he got for helping me. Thanks GRM and lets not make this a habit.

I was quoting ... I really have close to zero idea or understanding of what you just said
In reply to David S. Wallens:
Is this part of some nefarious plot to reassimilate us?
Does anyone know if these attacks have targeted Microsoft onedrive servers as well? Mine has been wiped clean and before I go pointing fingers (via an attorney) at a former employer who's HR director had access to it for use of a single folder, I want to make sure.

DDDoS? The extra D is for the extra Downtime.
It was dark, and there were no Megasquirt threads and I wasn't a dork...

Part of a bigger plot? Yes. Our plot? Sadly, no.

DDoS prevents access to a service or site, these attacks don't normally result in wiped data.
