We get it on the discovery channel here. I'm not sure how far behind we are (I know we're not current) but I just saw an episode where they check on a car that they sold to see who owns it now, the condition, etc...
Really, I was excited to get another look at that hot brunette who bought the car in their first episode of it, but I was shown a dorky looking guy who was letting the Alfa rust instead... I dont think Ed was too happy with the poor guy either.
The Karmann Ghia was bought right here in Boise, ID! I was excited to see some nice shots of our beautiful driving roads only minutes outside of town. Wish I would have known Mike was in town, I would have bought him some drinks!
It's better than 99.99% of stuff on TV, so I'm a big fan. Honest work and cool cars.
The Missus and I watch it regularly. Great show! Has me shouting at the screen sometimes, though. Like the time Edd put old rusty lug nuts back on the MGB when installing the newly refurbished wheels.
Was often left scratching my head when they got giddy over a few quid's profit, while giving no value to Edd's labour.
The producers were trolling the Jag E-Type list I'm on before that episode was filmed. They were looking for a car in good nick to show as an example. Apparently no E-Type owner wanted Mike driving their car! LOL
In reply to Basil Exposition:
There was only one episode I've seen so far that one owner wouldn't let him drive his car.

I enjoy the show but agree little things annoy me. Like recovering the seats in the bugeye sprite but not taking the extra few minutes to de-rust and paint the seat frames before doing so.
At least though its very honest to the "flipping" mentality they are trying to show, fix what can be seen and what must be fixed and do no more.
Mike gets on my nerves, too much salesman.

Yeah, he's your cliché cockney hustler car sales weasel. He knows what he's doing but people like him are why I have a severe salesperson allergy.
That show blows Spike's "Powerblock" or whatever its called out its collective tail pipe. Fun to watch.

Power block has become a giant advertisement and a "lets see how much we can spend" block.
I watched the TVR episodes last night. I like Wheelers Dealers. Nice format but they do refurbish things that they could have sourced out for less new.
Still think Gearz is the best car show on TV. I also pine for the days of Shade Tree Mechanic.

Wow, still trying to process this...

Would it help if I told you that was filled with sarcasm?

I like it, even though my wife always asks why I'm watching work.
To which I reply—Hey, you used to like watching ER, didn't you?

I'd LOVE to see that!!! I'm not quite sure why we aren't getting all of those seasons. I was a bit bummed when they "went to America" as if to pander tot he Powerblock crowd. I like seeing them work on oddball Euro stuff. That said, it's still entertaining.

Meh, Gearz might be more of an infomercial than Powerblock these days. I still watch it, though (when it's a new episode). I want to see how that old Semi truck is going to turn out.
That said, "Chasing Classic Cars" is now just an infomercial for Gooding and Co. Yet, I still love that show (the Lusso episode and the season finale w/ the storage unit Daytona were both mindblowing).
Wheeler Dealers is for entertainment purposes. Clearly entertainment is more of a motive than Mike and Edd's profit. I just love watching them. Edd is a great wrench and it's fascinating to watch him work.

One repair he did that didn't make sense to me was on the recent '57 Chevy project. The carbs was gummed up and rather than a inexpensive rebuild kit, he went for a non-original and rather pricey aftetmarket carb. That one confused me a bit.
The American car shows were interesting for sure, but you need to look at them from a British point of view. They were looking for iconic cars they could take back to the UK. Sometimes we lose the perspective since many of the cars they've done are ones we see as well, the Mini and E30 wagon being notable exceptions.

Any place online to get the newer episodes?
Check Youtube. I've found most of their episodes posted there.
discovery is pretty hostile about people uploading this show, and they don't provide any legit way themselves to watch this show online that i know of...
...unless someone has some links they wanna chime in with.

Typing "wheeler dealers" into Youtube turns up over 1200 hits. Most often the shows are divided up into several parts, but a few are complete episodes in one video.
Love the show as well, though their UK-centric perspective is funny at times to this yank. I especially found the C4 vette episode where they lamented about shoddy 'merican electrics especially humorous. Granted they picked probably the worst C4 you could ask for (84 cross-fire car) but something about the same country that brought us Lucas Industries plc calling out another for lousy wiring just about had me on the floor...

Definitely. That was a funny one... a British show making fun of American electrics... I have British cars from old to new... New MINI's can be just as worthy of Lucas jokes as our old Spitfires... A personal joke of mine is that old Lucas engineers don't die - they cross the Channel to work for Bosch.
Although I was surprised (and maybe a bit suspicious) at how inexpensive a rebuilt digital dash assembly costs.

Its on Velocity (formerly HD Theater)
On the latest season you might say they raised the price cap a bit...but I think they improved the format of the show in a few ways, and as usual they are tinkering with some cool cars so what's not to like.
I'm on velocity.discovery.com and it appears they want to keep it a secret. Where are the episodes?
According to Wiki:
Series 10 (Spring 2012)
Series 10 will feature 1974 Porsche 914, 1993 Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Renault Alpine A310, 2000 BMW M5, 1970 Fiat Dino and a 1992 Morgan +4. It is due to start airing in March 2012.

Did any of those links have episodes? I saw clips but that's it. I hope I missed it. I've been using youtube but most of those 1200 or so hits are not the show.
BTW, I don't have cable, just internet.
Great, they nicked my shopping list...
