It works!
Got everything installed a bit at a time over the last two weeks. This morning I put a gallon of diesel in and fired it up! Priming the fuel system took longer than I expected. Smoked like a chimney for a few minutes but cleared up nicely on the second run. I had to double clamp the exhaust connections, but they seem good now.
I need to swap out the 110v power cord for one with a switch. I don't want the 12v power supply to run all the time, just when I want heat. But for now I'll just unplug it. Right now it is 66 degrees in my office, so no reason to turn in on but tomorrow morning I'll fire it up to see how fast it warms things.
Funny, my garage now has an exhaust pipe.
I use some high temp RTV on the exhaust pipe connections and get yourself the Webasto clamps they are much much better.

Get the Webasto exhaust pipe and clamp. The pipe is designed to crush and seal the joint.

Where's the echo? I would omit the RTV and add a different pipe. We both said to get the clamp. So sorry for the echo [roll eyes]

I guess you're right. Some people need to attack others to make themselves feel important/smart/liked/ etc.
Every time some folks post I keep meaning to look for a block feature in this forum. Try to filter out the toxic folks.
In reply to DrBoost :
He is not normally a toxic guy, so I'm not sure what happened. Really lost after that.

To get back on track, as I am following along for the obvious reason, looks like everyone agrees that a better exhaust pipe is a good plan.

Ah, thanks that is exactly what I need. I was also looking to wrap the exhaust pipe anyway.

Anyone make a set of long tubes for this thing?
One of my buddies runs one in his race trailer - like a lot of guys he sleeps in the trailer at race events and sometimes it gets pretty chilly. He says it really works well for him......no issues in the 2 seasons he's had it.
