Looking for some for a project.
Are vise grips not the answer to this problem? Get some cheap ones from the hammer store and file the teeth off if you need flat clamping faces.

I'm looking for a compact solution that isn't an over-center clamp, I was hoping to avoid something that would snap close and allow a more gentle clamp. I was thinking about traditional c-clamps in a small size, but I'm also looking for something potentially with a vintage design.
Something like this? Not really a vintage design.

Those might work. I saw them on Amazon, but I didn't find them small enough to work with what I'm doing.

Cleco side clamps? You'll need a set of pliers for them.

I don't think those will work for this, but I can see a couple other uses for them for sure. Thanks
It's called a hand vise. You can buy a new one here: https://www.toolusa.com/products/tz3063-ppp?currency=USD&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping
