Anyone seen Moonbeam city?

This show is so awesome! Rob Lowe as a supercop in future 80's style cartoon. If you played Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, this is the same E36 M3 in a tv show.

I posted about it a few weeks ago, nobody seemed to like it, but I think it's awesome.

Someone said it was a ripoff of Archer. I've never seen Archer, so I can't compare the two.

I have seen both and while there are similarities, it is like comparing any of the cop shows. Yes they have a similar theme but I can't say that Moonbeam City is the same. Archer at least has talent. Daz is a complete slacker.

i've seen a bit of it.. can't get into it.. it might be a decent show, but the retro 80's style just aggravates me.

to me, it feels like what Archer would have been like if it was made in the 80's by the same guys that made Miami Vice..

I tried watching the first few episodes, but it left me cold. Sucks, because I really like the aesthetic and there's a lot of potential. It does feel heavily influenced by Archer, but the writing isn't as sharp IMO.

Maybe it will find its footing soon, but it truly does feel like a derivative work at this point.

It is the first season. I probably want rewatch it several times like I have done with Archer but it has its moments.
