I don't have any type of tv subscription because I would vegetate in the lazy boy and quickly become a motor racing watcher instead of a participator.
However, I allow myself to watch OSU football whenever I find it on local tv. I would like to find a reasonable way to watch all the games then cancel the service after the big game in January. The big problem is OSU can be on ESPN , FOX, BTN and of course ABC.
Anyone have any advice. Sling looks like it might work except for BTN and it's reasonably priced.
Thanks!
That's easy. Become a notre dame fan.
First which OSU?
My coworker did the Sling app on Xbox and was disappointing enough that his negative review kept me from trying.
FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. can all be watched with just an antenna. That doesn't help with the cable channels though. Assuming you already have internet access since you're looking at Sling, what's your ISP? We have cable internet only, no TV service, however I discovered that the same coax plugged into our cable modem for internet also provides us with 30 ish HD channels including ESPNs and SEC Networks, so I just put a splitter on the cable to the modem and TV.
Additionally we have a HTPC, pretty basic built out of mostly scrap computer parts, running Ubuntu as he OS, and use Kodi to watch some sports via Sports Devil, it's a crap shoot though, and the stream isn't always that great. I'd expect Sling would be the more reliable option, but Kodi doesn't cost anything.
Ohio state.

Don't be too critical, they say if you drive real slow through Columbus you get a degree.
SWMBO got her Ph.D. from THE OSU, all my life OSU meant Oklahoma State, until we moved to Ohio. She became a fan, and developed an unreasonable dislike of Michigan. I went to a few games, but was always sporting my Razorback paraphernalia, at least it was red.
This thread is pertinent to my interests. We have amazon prime and netflix, and a rabbit ear antenna, but since we live WAY out in corn country I only get a couple channels and they aren't abc. But I am also an Ohio State fan. Their schedule is so weak I usually end up listening to the games on the radio until they become a beat down. I may just go to the bar for the bigger games.

So the michigan and michigan state games? Aren't they the only other decent teams in the big 10?
In Columbus, someone printed up some shirts that said "berkeley michigan." Of course, they got in trouble for having a dirty word printed on a t-shirt, so they had to reprint the shirts.
Now the just say "berkeley."
I, too, am worried about watching OSU games since I recently dropped cable. I have Apple TV, so someone recommended "borrowing" someone's cable login and password.

Funny, after posting that, I realized there is a Berkely, MI. I guess only GRM readers and OSU fans would find that funny. You had to be there.
In reply to nepa03focus: Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Minnesota have their ups and downs. I have no idea if any of those teams are supposed to be any good this year. I just don't follow very closely at all, I'm a very passive fan. I watch the OSU games when I can, thats about it. Honestly, its not that fun to be a fan of a team that is consistently head and shoulders above the bulk of the conference. Most of the games just aren't that fun to watch. They are over by half time.
I guess the title should have been" how do I watch college football....."
