I really started to think lately that my whole life I had been saying "sword" incorrectly by pronouncing it with the "w" silent. I still have my doubts.

My fiance's parents were from Iowa and Minnesota, so she often pronounces things the northern way if there are different ways. She, however, says "cranz", and it makes me want to murder every time.
An old friend pronounces everything the same as me, except he pronounces orange - wait for it---- "O-winj".
I wanted to punch kittens everytime somebody came into the bike shop asking about THULE roof racks. It is pronounced Too-Lee.
