Is anyone on here thinking about buying one. I am on the fence. I am not sure if it will be worth it. The rumors of the battery not lasting long is a big down fall.

Unreleased Apple products are like the opera: it ain't over till the fat lady sings.
I'd expect a day's worth of usage or no watch at all. Whether that's 18 hours, 24 hours, or what, no one who's saying anything knows.
I'm an iOS developer, I have big plans for our apps to use these watches. I will let my employer buy us a few: I'm still rocking an old-school iPhone 5 as my personal phone and I'd rather spend my money on a new phone than a 1st generation Apple product. The second generation will be along shortly and it'll be loads better than the original.
Smart watches are pretty cool, but the battery life has me staying away for now. A few coworkers have the original pebble and while they are really ugly, they have nice battery life.
I'm holding out for the solar g-shock smart watch...
forget calling it a watch and call it what it pretty much is: it's a $300 bluetooth device that only operates with a new $500 Apple phone..
didn't Samsung already come out with this for their phones a couple of years ago?

It's a $300 bluetooth device that only operates with an Apple phone, including (to my knowledge) the $99 iPhone 5S.
There have been other smart watches before, but the Samsung watches ($200-$300 and require a Samsung phone) are only about a year old.
It's a big deal to me because these people are friends, coworkers, and competitors. Sure, there'll be Angry Birds for your watch, but there's legitimately life-changing E36 M3 that's going to happen on these watches.
I can't see myself buying any of the smart watches. While I think the MOTO360 is the nicest looking one, I really haven't worn watches since I started carrying a Nextel brick.
I'm a watch guy. I own a Pebble. And I could not be any more indifferent about the Apple watch. I really don't understand why either. I guess when they fire up their marketing machine, I will reevaluate.
I personally have no interest, but it seems to be a bit like a solution looking for a problem to me. (Really expensive Fitbit? maybe) I suspect the the primary feature that will be used for the initial adopters will be the ability to see Facebook updates without having to go through the painful effort of pulling your phone out
I think Apple does an excellent job with many of their products, but many of them seem to be purchased as "jewelry", and this one actually is jewelry!
I agree with aircooled re the solution looking for a problem. I don't often wear watches anyway, but if I do I prefer simple and small-ish watches. They also have to be fairly thin as I have a severe dislike for the boulder sized bling watches that are so common these days.
I plan on getting a Pebble or something similar so we can link up to my sons CGM, basically to a website that will display his sugar levels remotely. That will take a lot of guess work and anxiety out of managing his diabetes.
