No. You can't rehabilitate someone like this. Much as I disagree with the death penalty as retribution, these sort of criminals should be humanely destroyed.

I thought that line was the understatement of the year, at least.

27 years is a lot of time for someone who didn't act on his fantasy yet. Were it not for the contents of his hard drive this would have been a "thought police" conviction so it's really good they had the images and so on or he'd have walked.
