This idea is big, bigger than something I could take on even in good health. Big enough that though I'd expect GRM staff to like, possibly even love the idea, the organizational undertaking would be daunting.
I'd love to see a motorsports expo/convention, whatever you'd like to call it to be hosted at the Borgata during the weekend in June that coincides with the Race of Gentlemen taking place at Wildwood. Over the weekend a TSD rally could be organized through the pine barrens, a HPDE and vintage race arranged to be run at NJMP and an automotive related act, maybe pull Click and Clack out of retirement for a weekend, or a automotive enthusiast of a comedian, as there's about a half dozen (anyone but Christopher Titus), to perform at the Borgata in the evenings that weekend. Other meeting spaces could be used for automotive vendors to rent space and setup shop. Is there a lot large enough to host an autocross? I'd love to see a valet driver challenge class with some of the valets competing against each other in a spec car. I'd be surprised if Kerbeck's wouldn't be up for sponsoring a car show portion of the weekend.
So, what would need to be done to get the Borgata on board as being the epic center and preferred lounging for such an event and enter for entertainment and registration?
I think the variety of activities to take part in or spectate over the weekend really brings something to the table for most racing enthusiast:
-Race of Gentlemen
-HPDE
-Vintage Race? (would need to bring an outside sanctioning body in)
-autocross
-automotive related entertainment
-car show
-TSD rally
-vendors
