oh man, I remember going to see the Warren Miller each year when I was in HS.
Those films are the reason I have a monoski and my ski jacket is yellow and black. Scot Schmidt was the man.
I am watching Steep And Deep, Beyond The Edge and the Blizzard of Aaahs this weekend.
Sweet! I have a red and black Steep Tech jacket circa 1994 because of Scot...
I may be in the one titled The Endless Winter coming down from Tuckerman Ravine on Mt Washington.
Warren Miller used to screen his movies at the Paramount in Downtown Denver. I have a few books he signed from those screenings. After moving to Texas, the last time I skied a double black diamond run with a friend from Colorado I got a free ride on the Ski Patrol Toboggen and two months on crutches back in the flat country. I will probably see every one of those movies again. But watching guys jump off of snow covered cliffs will not help my campaign to talk Mrs. Snowdoggie into learning how to ski.

Thanks for the tid-bit. My wife and I will definitely watch some of the ones we remember back from the college days.
Always watched them at the Hatcher Pass lodge in the Talkeetnas. Every winter they are playing on old VHS in an old lodge with hot soup after a day of skiing. They invoke such a nostalgic feeling that I like them on vhs because the occasional tracking and audio drop brings me back. Ha!
thanks for the heads up so I can watch them at home after skiing since the lodge is closed after the owner passed this fall and Covid throwing everything off of course. That will make the winter feel a little more normal

Ooh, thanks for the tip!
Another tidbit, Bob Tunnell (autocrosser extraordinaire) was one of Warren Miller's producers back in the day.
Looks like I have some movies to watch over the weekend. It's been a while since I've sat down and watched his stuff.
