Why do all Americans think Aussies play soccer.
This is the real game, check out the broken leg around 3.30

Rugby is the best, not the Costafied NFL we have, berkeley american football. Rugby, NO pads, NO bulle36m3 plays, just stop the guy from getting the points.
Well, Australia does play Futbol so just like everything American tries to make sound tough, they think that soccer is all they play
Futbol and Rugby for me
I usually get in a heated argument whenever Futbol or Rugby is compared to NFL So i'll try to stay calm haha
Sorry haha I actually just got done with an argument so I still was a little heated
arrgh why is Beckham the only soccer player they know
Rugby is underrated though
Australia is as relevant in the soccer world as the US is to cricket.
I am not talking Rugby, I am talking Aussie Rules Football.
Both are played at the highest levels though

If that's true, why is not unheard of for rugby players to play into their 40s, yet Brett Farve and his age is a huge deal?
Pads and helmets encourage significantly more damaging hits.

Pele?
That was my first choice, but at the time, I didn't know how to make that little thing over the e on my computer.
Of course, Pelé is the only other soccer player that I know.
Rugby - who needs pads

it's fine, I just thought it was funny
^^yup
Eh, whatever. HTFU, or go back to whatever kangaroo-berkeleyin penal-colony E36 M3 hole you came from.
I love "handegg", and see no problem with that. Rugby is cool, too.
Since you can't pass the ball forward in rugby, the dynamics of the field are a lot different. Aside from kicks, there are very few times when somebody is going to be looking upwards, leaving themselves unprotected.
Ad in these two things:
-
More people on the field
-
aside from kicks as noted above, due to the dynamics of the game, the opposing tackler isn't going to be running full tilt at someone as often to lay a huge hit
-
The tackler still has to try and wrap on the tackle. You just can't throw your shoulder or head into someone and collide with them.
Contrast that to the NFL, where none of those conditions are true.
That said the worst injury I ever saw when playing rugby was a skull fracture from two people going after a loose ball on the ground. A helmet would have certainly helped with that.
Large $$ contract, and not-so-bad-looking wife/celeb. All taking place in the land of LA, home of the pop culture PR machine.

Except in 7 a side which I think is more fun to watch. Although I have enjoyed watching the Six Nations.

One of the biggest highlights of my rugby career was playing against the All Blacks (B team). My brother's team, the WestChester Rugby Club, needed a winger and I drove up from Philly to play. I was 18 and traded my brother's shirt for my opponents. What a thrill. Their finesse was beautiful to watch, especially their kicks.

You played the All Blacks?! Whoa. And lived to tell about it?!
Great highlight film here. Wallabies V. All Blacks 2000. Beats the hell out of watching the NFL imo.
I also agree, beats the hell out of watching NFL, and I used to watch a little\
and good one, Diego has been one of my favorites, never heard much of him compared to some others.
